After receiving dozens of NCs from people asking me to keep the store open, I have decided to reopen on a homestead sim. I will not be making things as often as before, at least not for a while, but there will be newness sooner than later. For those of you not in the VIP group, these two are new items. To those of you that were not aware, my Father in RL passed away suddenly on March 21st. It has put a lot of things into perspective for me and, as such, I am leaving SL. I will still log on from time to time, but I will no longer be devoting the insane number of hours necessary to run a business weekly to a game when I have a real life to live. The following is the NC I sent in-world to everyone. I wish you all the best!

Hello everyone,

It is with a very heavy heart that I have come to make this difficult decision. Though you all have been great to me, I just don't have the energy or drive that is necessary to maintain a business in SL. I have decided to take a break to deal with RL and I have no idea how long that break will be.

So, for now, I am closing the store. You have until Friday, April 1st to get what you'd like to get from me before I leave this world to find myself again in first life. If you want to talk to me, leave a NC. I will not be able to answer offlines as I am certain my messages will cap and I have turned off IMs to my email. I may get some stuff up on marketplace over the next few weeks, but I am not even going to promise that.

Discovery Scouts will no longer be under my control and I have refunded everyone who paid me for April. What happens to that will be up to the scouts to decide.

I will be in world now and then, but if you absolutely need to communicate with me, please leave a message with Helena Geiger, Zabby Pawpad or Lacie Chambers, as they all have my RL contact info.

Again, thank you all for your well wishes and prayers.

Fish For This

Peyton is the latest fishing outfit here at Vicarious Vitae.

You can get this full outfit just by sitting on our beatiful fishing pier with your 7Seas fishing pole! 7Seas fishing kits are available for purchase on the pier.

You do not have to use bait or a pro rod even to catch these items.

However, the full outfit is separated into six different boxes, so it may take you a while to catch it.

This outfit will be available for at least 2 weeks, but no longer than a month, so come catch it while you can! It will not ever be available for purchase at the store.

Yes, yes, I know.... I remodel frequently. This is just to make you, the customer, happy and make more room for more new stuff! I think you'll all agree that the new build is much better suited to the child friendly image V*V has always promoted. With the adult store gone, the entire sim is once again a PG child friendly zone.

Also, at Vicarious Vitae, we're not just about shopping! So what else is there to do at the Vitae sim? You can play games like chess or candyland or, if you're feeling brave, you could venture over to the pirate ship for a game of hide and seek or Greedy. There is a large shopping area to play tag in and if you're into fishing, we will be having regular fishing contests and there are always a lot of customs to catch!

Vitae is also home to the Discovery Scouts, an educational based program teaching kids 3-17 SL skills. Admission for April will begin on March 27th, so keep on the lookout for information about that if you're interested. You can get more info on the scouts and see what it is we do by visiting the Scouts Store at the green shop outside the main store near the fishing area.

Now, onto the newness! I'm trying to shake off the cold in my native Ohio, so everything released this week is very Springy/Summery!

I just wanted to say thank you again for helping to make 2010 a great year for me here in SL. I have made quite a few friends and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better in 2011. Since I do truly listen to all my customer feedback, I wanted to share my business further with you by creating a VIP group.

I am *NOT* replacing the Shoppers Club! You will still be able to get Shoppers Club only freebies, MM boards, mini mania, etc. However, with a small one time fee of 250L (currently 100L for a limited time) you will gain permanent access to VIP only sales, monthly freebies (at LEAST a full outfit a month - that's worth 1200Ls a year or more right there!), first access to limited edition items and even get a free gift on your rez day! All you have to do is IM me and tell me what you'd like from my current stock! This group is for both adults and kid avs and I will do my best to keep things suited to both or make seperate gifts for each group of players.

I will also be asking the VIP group for ideas, listening to your suggestions and letting you vote on new products and even sometimes asking for models for my ads. You will be the first to know about everything!

"Wear Gray is a gathering of SL designers from across the grid of all styles and genres, coming together for two weeks of fundraising to raise funds to go towards the American Brain Tumor Association to aide in the awareness, research and aiding those that suffer from brain tumours/cancer, for more information about them you can visit http://www.ABTA.org.

Sanura Snowpaw's RL cousin had brain cancer and had been fighting it for nearly 10 years he lost his battle in 2009. Shortly after he lost his battle She heard about a campain in RL to help promote awareness of brain cancer called Wear Gray. She thought she could do something like that within SL never expecting it to become such a huge event.

In 2009's Wear Gray campaign in SL we raised a total of L$212,524 which is equal to appx. $820 USD. We hope to exceed that this year to help us do that you can shop at the 2 week Wear Gray Market Faire or donations can also be sent directly to WearGray Button."

**What Violet Is Doing For Wear Gray**
Violet has 3 outfits that when bought at Wear Gray 100% of the Profit will go to the
American Brain Tumor Association. Each outfit is 100L and all 100L goes to Charity. Also she has an outfit that will be in the Auction at Wear Gray.

Grand Reopening

We have moved to the ground.

There a bunch of great vendors outside around the fishing pond, A Log cabin as the main store and a little shed full of bunny nests to the left of the main store. There are tons of places for you to explore, so run around and have fun! ^_^

Almost everything in the store has been marked down and there are 10 tiny pink stars with free gifts inside waiting for you to find them. A hint: one is on the stairs to the bunny shed. The other 9 are hidden inside the main store.

Howdy!

There have been tons of new releases lately, and lots of stuff coming for the weekend. I've been a little lax on the blogging this week, so hopefully Violet isn't gonna put me in time-out. *hides* On to the clothes!

First off we have Kids Fifty Linden Friday - three deals this week including the super cute matching mommy/daughter set Paulette in happy yellow!

Also for Kids 50LF this week is my personal favorite of the week, Felicia! The pattern on this is so spring/summery cheerful, and comes with a lot of options as always.

Happy Mother's Day everyone! =)

Here today to talk about the upcoming week's Bargain Hunter's Paradise item! The theme is Wizard of Oz, and there is a gorgeous Dorothy outfit for the little ones.

Update. Dorothy is the BHP item for not this week, but NEXT week. Silly me! The BHP item for this week is the previously blogged Rockin' Moms outfits. =)

Also check out this precious Bunny Love outfit - not part of BHP this week but still affordable and adorable! Tomorrow is the grand re-opening of the Vicarious Vitae location, and we are excited to announce that there will be a party, as well as lots of prizes including some super awesome HUNT gifties! Yay! I love party hunts - it's in one place, and you know you will probably like everything because it's all from a store you already know you love. :D

I just love making stuff for kids and these two outfits are no exception! Both done in a bunny theme, they're great for Easter casual or the avid bunny farmer :)

A Little JRock For You

I dunno why, I've just been on a foreign music kick lately. My store has had a German radio station playing in it for a while, but I think I may change that to JRock tomorrow morning. Kawaii radio is pretty awesome.

Just skip over this if you hate rock ballads or languages other than English lol This is one of my fave bands, The Gazette. This is definitely one of their lighter songs and most of their newer stuff sounds a lot like Cradle of Filth in Japanese. Not that any of you can understand Dani Filth anyway, so basically it's prolly the same thing to you lol Anyway, watch it if you feel like it. I can't promise it won't annoy you, but you just might enjoy it as much as I do :)

We have a few ongoing hunts at the store and I just wanted to show you some of the fun prizes you can find for free hidden around the shop :)

This is a prize for the burning hearts hunt. There is also a female outfit in a similar theme with a corset and teeny mini skirt. The permissions on the hunt gift are NOT what the image lists.

Next, we have the Snacks N' Sweets hunt which started yesterday. I made this awesome box of donuts that double as chairs. You can keep them together as a set in the box or use them individually.

And last, but not least, here's sneak peek at the Classic Love Hunt gift. It's a skybox in black wood and romantic red wallpaper with a matching cuddle rug. The CLH starts on February 13th.
